Maui

So on the 19th of May, we headed down to Maui. I love Hawaii, I almost think that I could live there, of course, if I didn’t have to work and have obligations.

So we left on Monday morning and took the non-stop flight, which I totally recommend, don’t do layovers, it just makes you more tired. Last time we went, we had a layover in Vegas and it just is a hassle and I worried about my luggage making it Hawaii, which it did, but on the non-stop flight, I didn’t have to worry about it. So if you are going anytime soon, spend the extra $200 and get the non-stop flight.

This is from our condo.

We love Maui, the walks on the beach, the sunsets and of course the snorkeling!

Tuesday we went to this really neat Blowhole that my parents discovered last time they were in Maui and it was really neat! It was so amazing.

Wednesday we went to what is called the “Fishbowl” the name pretty much describes it. It is a 30 minute hike through lava fields to get there, but it is so worth it! There are so many different kinds of fish and the water is super clear! We took Kandice and Spencer’s underwater digital camera and got some sweet pictures. After we had snorkeled and were on our way back, I wanted to get some pictures, so I went out onto this rock that was surrounded by water and as I was taking some pictures I heard splashing and scraping and I looked down and only 2 feet from my feet were a bunch of crabs going wild and this massive eel totally crunching on a crab, I about died! I screamed and ran towards Cody and was on the verge of tears, it was SO gross. Luckily we had already snorkeled there, because I definitely wouldn’t have gone if I would have seen the nasty eel before we went. For those of you who don’t know what an eel is, it is basically a nasty looking water snake that has a major set of teeth. Those of you who know me, I hate cats with a passion, but I hate anything that remotely even looks like a snake even more.

Our Last Sunset

These fish were swarming us, I bet there were at least 50, and they would just follow us where ever we went. Cody thinks that they thought the underwater digital camera was food, cause it was strapped to Cody's wrist and when I would swim away from Cody they would stay with him and not follow me.

This is one of the turtles we saw(as if you couldn't tell)

This is the sting ray that we shaw, the water was really murky

Everytime we go somewhere with a beach, we always take pictures of our feet, don't ask me why.
